On this day we plan to gather again the churches of Kingston:

• to give thanks to our Mayor and to the community,
• to bring the Church together,
• to help to forge links between the Church and community,
• and to raise money for charity.

At the last breakfast, we were encouraged by Dr Stuart Piggin, who affirmed us of the predominant role of the church in society, in history and in today's climate.

Also, in accordance with the theme of the National Day of Thanksgiving, we had Joan Gordon, National President of MOPS (Mothers of Pre-Schoolers) Australia share about this important work in our churches and community.

The Mayor expressed his gratitude for the church's support, and $840.35 was raised for the charity - with thanks to all attendees and to WORD Bookstore.
